People Electric & Dalian Jiaotong University Talk Robotics Industrialization

On June 18, a delegation led by Dong Huajun, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Dalian Jiaotong University, paid an official visit to People Electric Appliance Group Co., Ltd. Zheng Jingjie, Chairman of the Group, warmly received the visiting group. The two sides held in-depth technical exchanges covering fields such as new-generation unattended park operation and maintenance, intelligent inspection robots and embodied intelligent robots, and reached preliminary consensus on robot industrialization and industry-university-research cooperation in the electrical sector.

Prior to the meeting, Professor Dong Huajun and his entourage visited the Group's 5.0 Innovation Experience Center, where they gained an in-depth insight into the Group's innovative achievements in smart power, intelligent manufacturing and other sectors.

At the exchange meeting, representatives from Dalian Jiaotong University presented three core solutions: a three-dimensional unattended park operation and maintenance system with coordinated unmanned vehicles and drones, intelligent inspection robot dogs, and embodied intelligent robots. Dong Huajun noted that the university holds core strengths in the robotics field, including high reliability and industry-leading visual inspection accuracy, and boasts abundant industry resources in the rail transit sector. He put forward proposals to advance the productization and scenario-based application of robots across industries such as industrial manufacturing, power, petrochemicals and transportation. Meanwhile, the university has rolled out mature applications in electrical fields including smart charging piles and live-line working, and has undertaken multiple national-level scientific research projects in vacuum switches, phase-controlled switches and other related areas, with solid technical accumulation.

Against the backdrop of current industry trends, Zheng Jingjie pointed out that the Group is actively advancing AI platform R&D, focusing on core directions such as computing power and operational capacity, while promoting the development of integrated intelligent operation and maintenance systems centered on its core electrical appliance business. He stated that robot industrialization must be closely aligned with market demand and implemented in phases. In the electrical field, competitive products can be launched through industry-university-research cooperation, with strengthened collaboration on the production side. He emphasized that cooperation should focus on core directions and pool resources to achieve breakthroughs in advantageous tracks. Meanwhile, both parties can leverage industry association platforms to explore more cooperation opportunities, and drive the transformation of scientific and technological achievements as well as their scenario-based applications.
