On July 1, Shen Zhenghua, Executive Director and General Manager of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Huaneng"), led a delegation to visit People Electric Appliance Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "People Electric") for inspection and exchanges. He was warmly received by Huang Feiming, Chairman of People Energy Group. The two sides held in-depth discussions on energy cooperation and coordinated industrial development, and formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
During the visit, Shen Zhenghua and his delegation toured the Group’s 5.0 Innovation Experience Center and intelligent workshops, gaining a detailed understanding of People Electric’s innovative achievements and industrial layout in areas including energy management, intelligent manufacturing and low-carbon transformation.
At the symposium, Huang Feiming extended a warm welcome to Shen Zhenghua and his entourage. He noted that People Electric, which originated in Liushi, has been deeply rooted in the power industry for 40 years and built a complete power equipment industrial ecosystem covering low-voltage, medium-voltage, high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage products. In recent years, the Group has steadily advanced its diversified layout, making continuous inroads into cutting-edge sectors such as semiconductors, medical technology and new materials. Meanwhile, backed by its nationwide sales channel network, it has developed uniquely competitive strengths. As energy transformation gains momentum, smart energy stands as a core strategic priority in the Group’s overall layout. He expressed hope for deeper synergy with China Huaneng to integrate the resource advantages of both sides and jointly tap into the new energy market.
Shen Zhenghua thanked People Electric for the warm reception and introduced China Huaneng’s business layout and development roadmap. He pointed out that as a key state-owned backbone energy enterprise, China Huaneng has always upheld the mission of safeguarding energy supply security and advancing green transformation. Its operations in Zhejiang province have formed a diversified power supply structure and established a full-fledged business system spanning power sales, green power trading, virtual power plants and integrated energy services.
Against the higher requirements for low-carbon energy transformation brought by local development, People Electric boasts remarkable strengths in manufacturing capacity, local resources and market channels, rendering the cooperation between the two sides highly complementary and broadly promising. Taking this signing as a new starting point, China Huaneng stands ready to work with People Electric to explore a new cooperation model between central state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, and jointly drive the implementation of new energy projects to deliver tangible results.
After thorough communication, the two sides reached a high degree of consensus. Following the symposium, representatives from both parties jointly signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement. Under the agreement, the two sides will conduct in-depth, multi-dimensional cooperation in the new energy sector in accordance with the principles of "complementary advantages, resource sharing, mutual benefit and win-win progress, and common development", to contribute to the realization of China’s "dual carbon" goals.
