On May 25, 2026, a business delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, consisting of more than 20 members including Hei Bavy, Chairman of Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, and WHUCH Vorrak, President of the Cambodia-China Promotion Association (CCPA), paid a visit to People Electric Appliance Group Co., Ltd.(People Electric) of China. The guests were warmly received by Simon Ye, General Manager of the Import & Export Company of People Electric. The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening economic and trade cooperation between Cambodia and China, and jointly explored new opportunities for practical collaboration.
The delegation then toured the People’s 5.0 Innovation Experience Center and intelligent workshops, gaining first-hand insight into the People’s profound heritage built over four decades and its robust strength in intelligent manufacturing.
During the forum, Simon Ye gave the guests a detailed introduction to the People’s full-fledged industrial chain layout, as well as its innovative achievements in green sectors including new energy, energy storage and charging piles. He also shared the People’s practices in pursuing green manufacturing and accelerating its global expansion. He stated that the People is actively advancing its "Going Global" initiative and holds high expectations for the market potential of Cambodia. It will organize professional teams to conduct field visits to Cambodia in due course, so as to drive the implementation of practical cooperation between the two sides and deliver mutual benefits and shared development.
The Cambodian representatives expressed gratitude for the People’s thoughtful arrangements and spoke highly of its remarkable development achievements. They sincerely invited People Electric to invest and operate businesses in Cambodia. Leveraging Phnom Penh Port and ongoing projects such as the Green Special Economic Zone, both countries can facilitate two-way trade and joint industrial development. In addition, the Cambodian side elaborated on cooperation demands in key local economic projects, power infrastructure, canal supporting facilities and other fields. They welcomed the People Electric to conduct on-site investigations in Cambodia, enabling high-quality Chinese electrical products to better serve the Cambodian people.
