Electrical Protection Guides

To help you better understand and implement electrical protection measures, we have expanded on our previous content, aiming to provide you with more knowledge on effectively preventing electrical accidents, selecting the right electrical products, and avoiding unnecessary electrical hazards.

1.Phase Loss Protection

In a three-phase system, the loss of any single phase can cause unbalanced operation of motors or other three-phase loads, leading to equipment faults. A phase loss protector will cut off the power supply immediately upon detecting such a fault.

2.Phase Sequence Protection

It ensures the correct phase sequence of a three-phase power system. Incorrect phase sequence may result in reverse operation of rotating machinery, leading to severe consequences.

3.Residual Current Device

Residual current devices monitor current discrepancies in the circuit. Once current is detected flowing to the ground instead of the intended path, the device will cut off the power supply instantly to reduce the risk of electric shock.

4.Surge Protection

It targets transient high-voltage pulses (such as lightning-induced surges). Components like surge arresters, varistors, and transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes are used to absorb or limit these short-duration yet intense voltage spikes.

5.Reverse Power Protection

This protection prevents current from flowing backward from the load to the power source side. It is particularly critical in generator or photovoltaic systems to avoid equipment damage.
